change|July was the hottest month on record: the U.S.A

July 2021 has become the hottest month on record, according to a recent announcement from NOAA's National Center for Environmental Information (NCEI), and 2021 is likely to rank among the 10 warmest years on record.
"This is a really bad first," NOAA administrator Dr. Rick Spinrad said in a statement.
July is usually the hottest month of the year globally, but July 2021 became the hottest July and hottest month on record.
This new record further exacerbates the unsettling and devastating effects of climate change on people around the world."
NOAA has been making weather observations since 1880.
The latest data from the agency show that earth's surface and ocean temperatures recorded in July were 0.93 degrees Celsius warmer than the 20th century average of 15.8 degrees Celsius.
The previous high for July was in July 2016, followed by similar levels in 2019 and 2020, and the current new record is 0.01C warmer than those years.
In the Northern Hemisphere in particular, the rise in surface temperatures was "unprecedented", surpassing the previous record set in 2012 and 1.54C higher than the average for July in the last century.
July 2021 was also the hottest month in Asia and the second-hottest month in Europe (the hottest month on record is July 2018), CBS reported on its website.
In North and South America, Oceania and Africa, July 2021 is in the top 10 hottest months.
And, flipping the calendar to August, the heat continues: just a day before NOAA's latest announcement, authorities on the Italian island of Sicily reported a local heat of 48.8 degrees Celsius near the ancient city of Syracuse, which could be the hottest temperature ever recorded in Europe.
The extreme heat, detailed in the NCEI's monthly report, echoes long-term changes outlined in a major report released this week by the United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
In its report, the IPCC said average global temperatures could rise by 1.5C above pre-industrial levels by 2030 as a result of human error, a decade earlier than expected and potentially bringing "unprecedented" new disasters.
If the damage is to be reduced, there is no choice but to drastically reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
CBS site in the report pointed out that the IPCC's report, this year all over the world are feeling the climate warming effect of "extreme" and "unprecedented", including Greece and Turkey, Siberia and the fire of forest fire in California, Madagascar, Germany's flood and famine Canada's record heat and so on.
