【Covid|Americans’ trust in science and faith in experts erodes: U.S. media】Under the circumstance that more than “600,000 Americans died from COVID-19, and lockdowns have left extensive collateral damage,” many Americans have lost faith in experts and trust in science, according to an article titled A Covid Commission Americans Can Trust published by Wall Street Journal (WSJ) on June 27, 2021.
In order to restoring people’s trust in experts and science, two professors respectively named “Sens. Bob Menendez (D., N.J.) and Susan Collins (R., Maine)” have brought in a bill that “ would establish a Covid commission to examine the origins of the virus, the early response to the epidemic, and equity issues in the disease’s impact. ”
